“I want to help people. From the beginning, personalizing treatment and how you deal with each person made this job so rewarding. It still makes me happy when I get up in the morning!
I genuinely care about each person, helping them meet their goals, or come to a realistic realization of what they can and can’t do. Building rapport through sensitive listening – and sometimes with an appropriate sense of humour – helps create a mutual connection and acceptance.
On the personal side, I love coaching Special Olympians in curling, spending time with my family, and hanging out with my parents or sister.”
