“In my 17 years as a Vocational Counsellor, my biggest pleasure has always been from seeing people move forward, adding meaning back into their life. It’s just part of who I am. In many cases, a person’s life has been turned upside down and their self worth has been signi cantly impacted. I focus on building trust by active listening and genuine interest in who they are, their life experiences, and other skills they have picked up over the years. From there, using additional input from other health care professionals, we mutually discover realistic options for future employment, if possible, that are objective and defensible.
On the personal side, I love the beach and enjoy the tranquility of a weekend of camping, hiking, sitting around the fire and stargazing with family and friends.”
