2011 International Symposium on Life Care Planning – Spencer Experts was there!
As anticipated, Spencer Experts expert Life Care Planners Phyllis Spencer and Dana Weldon travelled to Scottsdale, Arizona this month to attend this 17th annual International Symposium on Life Care Planning. Themed “Technology and Practice Innovations in Life Care Planning,” this year’s symposium featured more than 30 experts on topics related to the industry and key to practicing life care planners.
Phyllis Spencer says there is value of attending conferences. “It keeps us up-to-date with trends in the industry.”
Topics such as advances in assistive technology and treatments for regional chronic pain syndrome were examples of areas where advances are being made, and the information can be accessed in forums like the Symposium. Spencer adds, “The great thing about these conferences is that you can learn something on the weekend, and apply it to your business the next week.”
One of the Canadian presenters was James L. Vigmond, personal injury lawyer from Barrie, Ontario. He addressed the importance of Life Care Plans saying, “The Life Care Plan has taken on a critical role in personal injury litigation.” Speaking in one of the breakout sessions to the audience primarily made up of Canadian Life Care Planners attending, Vigmond added, “The Life Care Planner is assuming greater importance in personal injury actions.”
With more than 30 years of Future Care Cost / Loss of Earning experience, Spencer Experts remains committed to achieving excellence in the characteristics of a credible Life Care Plan identified by Vigmond:
• Comprehensive
• Consultative
• Reasonable
• Presentation

Spencer Experts extends many thanks to ISLCP’s organizers and presenters for an exceptional event – and anticipates another informative symposium for 2012, “From Litigation to Implementation: Developing Life Care Plans that Work.”
